Globalization is a process of developing and expanding trade and commerce all over the world. It has created a borderless market around the globe. With the development of technology, the world has come closer. We can now learn instantly what is happening in the farthest corner of the world. We can travel to any country in the shortest possible time. Because of globalization countries in the world are like families in a village. Globalization has brought huge employment opportunities to the large population. New technologies like computers, e-mail, fax, internet, satellite, etc. are the new addition of globalization. Globalization has huge negative impacts on the environment like water pollution, deforestation, air pollution, soil pollution, contamination of water resources, climate change, etc. In the name of globalization capitalist countries are exploiting the cheap labour available in poor countries. However, by creating mutual understanding and cooperation among the poor and rich countries globalization can bring welfare for all.

Globalization refers to the process of interaction and integration among the people worldwide for the target of expanding trade and commerce, cultural and political activities. It creates a borderless market all over the world. In the new era of international relations, globalization has become a buzzword. But it has had a far-reaching effect on many spheres of life. With the development of high tech communication media, rapid technological progress and rapid transportation facilities the world has come closer. Instantly, we can now learn about the happenings in the farthest corner of the world. Also, we can now travel to any country in the shortest possible time. Countries of the world are like families in a village. Like the next-door neighbours, they can even share their joys and sorrows.  In the distress of one country, other countries can immediately come to its assistance.

By building up an atmosphere of mutual understanding and co-operation our world could certainly be a better place to live in through this globalization process, But Globalization has its demerits too. The gap between wealth and poverty is enlarging. Globalization has given place to the people of the world on the same vessel but in different cabins. Only a few people are travelling in luxurious cabins that are furnished with all modern amenities. They have access to pure drinking water, nutritious food, sophisticated medicare and a life of luxury. But the majority are travelling in the third class decks. They are suffering from hunger and disease. Globalization can bring happiness to every one of the world only on condition of solidarity, equity and justice. It is possible when all passengers of the ship will travel in the same class of cabins.
