A fisherman catches fish in the pond and rivers. He earns his livelihood by selling the fishes in the market. He lives in a hut near the river. He has only a net and a fishing boat to catch fish. He is poor and illiterate. He usually gets up early in the morning and goes to the river and ponds to catch fishes. He works hard day and night in catching fish in the river. Sometimes he goes to catch fishes even in time of rough weather knowing the risk of life. His family becomes anxious for his safe return. A fisherman maintains his family hardly with his poor income. When he hires fishing net and boat he has to pay the big portion of income to the owner. With his little income, he spends his days roughly. When he does not go to catch fish he passes his days making and repairing his fishing net at home. Fishing is a risky profession for want of safety measures. Every country earns a huge amount of foreign exchange from fishing projects. The fishermen contribute to this economy greatly. But they often suffer from the risk of death in the river due to the lack of safety equipments. The government should provide sufficient security, economical support, and proper management in fishing activities.
