Rita and Mita are two friends. They are talking about the importance of learning English.

Mita: Hello Rita. How are you?

Rita:  I am fine and you?

Mita: I am also fine. How is your study going on?

Rita: Well. But, you know I am weak in English. I need to study English more.

Mita: If you learn communicative English or take a course on English writing, your weakness would be gone.

Rita: Is it true? My father suggests and writes me to learn English attentively. Can you tell me about the importance of learning English?

Mita: Firstly, English is an international language. Hence, we need it for shopping, office work, going abroad, operating computers, etc. Secondly, we cannot get a good job without learning English.

Rita: How English helps in higher education.

Mita: In higher education, English is essential. If you want to study in medical or technical education, you will see all the books there are in English. Proficiency in English is a must for that.

Rita: Then we need to know English. It has no alternative.

Mita: Of course, English helps us to have a better and more successful life. No one can prosper in life without English. Students should have four skills in English. They are reading, writing, listening, and speaking.

Rita: You’re right. Thank you very much.

Mita: Thank you and goodbye.
