There was a good king in Scotland. His name was Robert Bruce. He loved his country and his people dearly. Also, his people had a great love for him. Once his enemies attacked his country. The king with many brave soldiers attacked the enemies but failed. So he went to a forest with his soldier and took shelter their. The king did not sit idle. He formed a troop and attacked his enemies again and again. It was about seven times. But all times he was defeated. So he decided not to fight. One day the king was lying a cave. Suddenly a spider was caught his eyes. He noticed that the spider was trying to reach the roof. But it fell down several times. Yet the spider tried for the eighth time to reach the roof. At last, it succeeded to reach the roof. Bruce was inspired by the success of the spider. He made up his mind to fight again. He attacked the enemies. This time he defeated his enemies and regained his kingdom. Here the king has learned from the spider that perseverance is the key to success.
