A) যে সকল ক্ষেত্রে Verb এর এর সাথে s/es যুক্ত রূপ বসে
Right form of verb -1
১) বাক্যে Subject যদি Third person ও Singular Number হয় তবে Present Indefinite Tense এ Verb এর সাথে s/es যোগ করতে হয়।
যেমন :
The boy gives me a pen.
He works in the field.
Education develops our mind.
২) Plural noun বা Pronoun এর পূর্বে One of , each of , any of , every of , none of ইত্যাদী থাকলে Singular অর্থ প্রকাশ করে। যদি তারা বাক্যে Subject হিসাবে ব্যবহৃত হয় তবে Present Indefinite Tense এ Verb এর সাথে s/es যোগ করতে হয়।
যেমন : One of the students comes in the stage to say his opinion.
Each of the boys gets good result in the exam.
B) যে সকল ক্ষেত্রে Verb এর Present রূপ বসে

৩। Present Indefinite Tense এ Verb এর Present রূপ বসে|
গঠন : Subject + Verb এর Present রূপ + Object
কিভাবে চিনবে: বাক্যে always, sometimes, often, daily, usually, normally, generally, regularly, occasionally, every + time ইত্যাদী থাকলে Verb এর Present রূপ বসে|
যেমন :
Sometimes my father comes here.
Every day he goes to bed at ten o’clock.
Always he drinks a cup of tea.
৪। চিরন্তন সত্য (Universal truth) বুঝাতে :
যেমন: The sun rises in the east.
The earth moves round the sun.
৫। অভ্যাস গত কর্ম বুঝাতে: যেমন: He goes to school every day.
৬। Modal Auxiliary verb এর পর Verb এর Present রূপ / মুল রূপ বসে|
গঠন : Subj + Modal Auxiliary verb + Verb এর Present রূপ / মুল রূপ বসে + Object
যেমন : I could not go there yesterday.
You should take medicine last night.
৭। Verb এর Infinitive গঠনের কারনে To এর পর Verb এর Present রূপ / মুল রূপ বসে |
গঠন : To + Verb এর Present রূপ / মুল রূপ
যেমন : I want to finish the work.
He said to open the door.
৮। Conditional sentence এর ক্ষেত্রে: ( If + Present + Future )
গঠন : If + S + Verb এর Present রূপ .. .. .., S + shall/will + verb মুল রূপ + object.
যেমন : If you study hard, you will succeed in life.
If he wants I shall help him.
C ) যে সকল ক্ষেত্রে Verb এর Past রূপ বসে

৯। Past Indefinite tense এ Verb এর Past রূপ বসে|
গঠন : Subject + Verb এর Past রূপ + Object
কিভাবে চিনবে: বাক্যে yesterday, ago, since, then, last +time , once, once upon a time, one day, before ইত্যাদী থাকলে Verb এর Past রূপ বসে|
যেমন : He went home yesterday.
200 years ago there lived a great hero.
১০। Complex sentence এর Principal clause, past tense এ থাকলে Subordinate clause ও Past tense হবে।
যেমন : Hasan said that she went to Dhaka.
Jamal said that he was ill.
১১। As if/as though যুক্ত Complex sentence এ পূর্বের অংশের Verb Present tense হলে পরের অংশ Past indefinite tense হবে। প্রথম অংশের Verb Past Indefinite হলে পরের অংশের Verb এর Past perfect tense হবে।
যেমন:
He speaks as though/as if he knew everything.
He speaks as though/as if he were the head of the office.
He treated me as though/as if he had not known to me.
১২) It is time, it is high time ইত্যাদীর পরের বাক্যাংশ (Clause) এর Verb এর Past রূপ হয়।
It is high time I left this place
It is time you took decision.
১৩) Since এর প্রথম অংশ Present Indefinite বা Present perfect হলে পরের অংশ Past Indefinite হয়।
It is many years since I came here.
আবার, Since এর প্রথম অংশ Past Indefinite হলে পরের অংশ Past perfect হয়।
It was long since I had seen her last.
১৪। অবাস্তব অতীত বুঝাতে: I wish /If দ্বারা গঠিত বাক্যে Be verb এর স্থলে were বসে।
I wish I spoke English fluently.

D) যে সকল ক্ষেত্রে Verb এর -ing রূপ বসে

১৫) সকল Tense এর Continuous form এ Be verb + (verb + ing ) যুক্ত verb বসে।
Present continuous tense : S + am/is/ are + verb-ing + Object ;
I am eating rice
Past continuous tense : S + was/were + verb-ing + Object
I was eating rice
Future continuous tense : S + shall/will + be + verb-ing + Object
I shall be eating rice
কিভাবে চিনবে: বাক্যে day by day, gradually, continuously, slowly, rapidly, now, ইত্যাদী থাকলে বা বর্তমানে কোন কাজ চলিতেছে বুঝালে verb এর Present continuous tense হয়।
১৬) সকল Tense এর Perfect continuous form এ Have verb + been + (verb + ing ) যুক্ত verb বসে।
Present perfect continuous tense : S + have/has + been + verb-ing + Object ;I have been eating rice
Past perfect continuous tense : S + had + been + verb-ing + Object ;
I had been eating rice
Future perfect continuous tense : S + shall/will + have +been+ verb-ing + Object;
I shall have been eating rice
১৭) While, mind, cannot help, could not help ইত্যাদীর পর verb + ing রূপ বসে।
While walking on the road I saw a dead cow.
Would you mind moving a bit
Would you mind having a cup of tea.
- While এর পর Verb এর Past Continuous tense রূপ হয়ে থাকে।
While I was walking on the road I saw the man running to me.
১৮) To ব্যতিত অন্য সকল Preposition এর পরে verb এর ing যুক্ত রূপ বসে।
Many people become sick by drinking unclean water.
I shall go after eating rice.
They work for getting money.
১৯) কিছু শব্দ গুচ্ছ যেমন- With a view to, look forward to, use to, due to, contribute to, related to, accustomed to , with a view to ইত্যাদীর পর verb এর ing যুক্ত রূপ বসে|
The students come here with a view to learning English.
I look forward to getting reply from you.
He is addicted to smoking.
২০) বাক্যের শুরুতে verb থাকলে তার সাথে ing যুক্ত করতে হয়।
(Swim) is a good exercise. Ans. Swimming
(Read) makes man perfect . Ans. Reading
২১) বাক্যে Principal verb এর পরে কোন verb থাকলে সে verb এর ing যুক্ত বা infinitive রূপ হয়।
The man likes playing. I wanted to finish the work.
We went there walking. He told me to write the report.
I saw him running.
E) যে সকল ক্ষেত্রে Verb এর Past participle রূপ বসে

২২) সকল Tense এ perfect form এ have/has/had এর পর verb এর past participle রূপ হয়।
কিভাবে চিনবে: বাক্যে just, just now, already, recently, yet, lately ইত্যাদী থাকলে verb এর present perfect রূপ হয়।
যেমন :
I have received your letter just now.
He just has left this place.
The man already has reached here.
২৪) সকল Tense এর Passive voice এ Verb এর Past participle রূপ হয়।
Many crops were damaged during the rainy season.
Water is polluted by various kind of waste.
Many people were killed during the liberation war.
২৫) Have, has, had, having, being, to be, Modal auxiliary verb + be এর পরের verb এর Past participle রূপ হয়।
Manpower can be used for the development of the country.
Being punished, the boy has become regular in the class.
He seems to be killed in the accident.
২৬) Past participle কখনও আবার Adjective হিসাবে ব্যবহৃত হয়। একে Participle adjective বলে।
The building constructed in 1820 was damaged last year.
The book written by Nazrul is very interesting to all.
The pen made china writes well.
F) যে সকল ক্ষেত্রে Verb এর Infinitive (To + verb) রূপ বসে

২৭) উদ্দেশ্য প্রকাশ করতে verb এর Infinitive রূপ To + মুল Verb বা For + V+ing ব্যবহৃত হয়।
We eat to live. বা, We eat for living.
We went to Kustia to visit Mujib Nagar. বা, We went to Kustia for visiting Mujib Nagar.
He came here to give me a book. বা, He came here for giving me a book.
