How Education Changes this Society
Education has a profound impact on society. It shapes the values and beliefs of individuals and creates the framework for how people think about the world. It also establishes the skills and knowledge necessary for individuals to participate effectively in society.
It is blatantly true that there was a time when all human being in the world was helpless similar to an animal. They would live in caves and fight against nature to live.
The need of life lead the ancient man to go for deep thinking on life and the world that generates self-realization, the truth of existence, and evaluation. In the human body, consciousness grows through brain activities. It acquires knowledge and experience from its surroundings. Facts, information, and skills are acquired through this knowledge and experience.
Knowledge is the combination of information and understanding about any topic. Education is the process of gaining knowledge through formal institutions. It is also a process of enlightening experience. The aim of education is not only to acquire knowledge but also to implement them into action. Thus education enforces us to reflect knowledge and experience into action. Also, education enters in every corner of our minds and refines it well to do the action perfectly. In this way, knowledge and experience go to shape our actions. It is a lifelong learning process.
When a man gradually Implements his acquired knowledge and experience in action perfectly, he becomes a powerful man in society.
The world is a storehouse of knowledge. Research or deeply thinking helps us to explore or extract knowledge from that endless storehouse. So, a country needs to emphasize establishing research centers that can discover new knowledge for formulating our life better. It also can provide solutions to many problematic issues that are happening in the country. Knowledge needs to be judged by experiments on whether it works well or not.
This acquired knowledge is practiced through education among the people. Education also helps knowledge to reach an actionable level. That is why it is called when a person is educated he is an actionable person in society. He can change a part of society with his acquired knowledge.
Let us have a look at the life of a man in society. When he was born, he was completely helpless in this world. He did not stop working. He started to learn from the earth and worked in view of that. Accordingly, for a period of his life, he goes to school to receive education. He continues his learning there. He continues to acquire knowledge from his school, surroundings, people, nature, and so on.
Thus he tries to understand everything and apply the knowledge in work that he gained. He tries to analyze all the topics of learning. He finds merits and demerits of the learning topics. He does experiments or makes a project on his learning topics. She learns to create. He learns to change what he has in around. Thus, a student completes his study properly in school, college, and university.
He gains enormous knowledge of his learning topics. These are the topics of his life and family, his religion, his country, his culture, his language, his surrounding,s and everything he needs to lead a danger-free and peaceful life.
The most important thing he learns is all about his work for earning. Earning is the most important part of achieving education. If there was no earning guarantee no people would approach to receive education. It is logical.
Earning is related to our entire environment. It ensures our five basic rights food, clothes, shelter, treatment, and education. It is easy that if you earn more you will get more support to live. You can do something for your family and community. If not you will be isolated. You will be of no use in society.
So, we have learned that only education is giving us everything. In some cases, you can earn a lot in an illegal way where the requirements of education is less or nil. Yes, in this case, you can earn but this earning cannot ensure your danger-free life.
We are now in a compromise that education and society are deeply related. One is directly proportionate to another. What we are getting in society has everything come from education. The more the people will be educated, the more society will be enriched.
Society is, in fact, a group of people who share their economic, social, and cultural activities among themselves. Education strengthens all the components of our society like our economy, culture, infrastructure, etc.
The purpose of education is to educate individuals in society. Education prepares a man to qualify for work in the economy as well as to integrate people into society. It also teaches the people about the values and morals of society which strengthen the social relation.
Education constitutes a society. If we want to reform our society we need to reform our education system. We cannot think of today’s modern society if there was no education. Our industrial society is completely impossible without a system of schools, classrooms or examinations. Even if there was no education we will still be fighting for life on this planet living in a cave. Remember that our past education has settled our present society. Our future society will be settled on our present education system. So it is high time we thought of our education that will formulate our future society. Only education can change society.
