Gender discrimination paragraph
Gender discrimination means unequal treatment between boys and girls. In Bangladesh, this discriminatory treatment begins at the birth of a child. Women are the worst sufferer here. Their birth in the family is not regarded as a happy event in the family. On the other hand, male children are the best suited to their parents. There are many reasons behind this discrimination. First of all, a female person cannot help their family income when their parents are older. Her wedding may cost a large amount of money to her parents. Any expenditure for sending girl to school is considered wastage by many parents. This discriminatory treatment has some long term negative effects on the body and mind of the girl children in a family. This problem cannot be solved overnight. To solve this problem our outlook towards women should be changed. All the facilities should be given them equally. Early marriage should be stopped.
