Once upon a time, there was a poor farmer in a village. The farmer was unable to continue his family properly. He always thought about how to remove his poverty. One day he went to the market and bought a goose from the market. He hoped to get more eggs from this goose. After a few days, the goose became matured and it started laying eggs. It was a matter of extremely surprising that every morning the goose laid a golden egg. It made the farmer happy. He used to sell the golden egg in the market. Thus the farmer became rich in a short time. But the farmer was very greedy and impatient. He wanted to have all the eggs at a time. He thought he would get all the eggs at a time if he cut the goose. And in this way, he would be rich overnight. So he told his plan to his wife. His wife was a wise woman. She was not greedy. So he requested her husband not to do so. But the farmer did not give value to his wife. Finally, to have all the eggs at a time, the farmer took a sharp knife and cut the stomach of the goose. But alas! There was no egg inside it. There was only flesh and blood of the goose. The farmer became very sorry and started crying. His wife also scolded him. She said, “You are foolish but greedy. So, you have lost all. ” Instead of becoming rich, the farmer became poor again. Through this incident, the farmer understands that over greediness brought misfortune to him. If he were patient and could shake off her greed, he could be rich again.
